Granny came last weekend to catch the kiddos in action. SweetBoy had his best game of the season so far! He had a three hit night and came around to score all three times! He was one excited boy to get out of a slump!
SweetDoll's team is undefeated! She is flashes her "Photo Op" smile as she crosses the plate!
SweetTate is behind the stands honing his skills for when he is old enough to play. Let me tell you, the boy has some skillz! He will be fun to watch in a few years!
SweetTate entered the wonderful world of potty training! My absolute least favorite thing about motherhood! If you think about it, pray for us!
I've been reading Melissa's reports from her Compassion trip to India (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)...I just don't know what to say or do. It is making me dissatisfied with my comfortable status quo, and upset with my whining self and children. But I am so blessed to be able to care for them! Melissa and the other bloggers on the trip said they saw a 6 month old--a 6 month old--left for the day while her mother worked. And a 4 year old left to fend for himself for the day while parents worked. And the Compassion sponsored child who took them to her home where five people lived and it was not big enough for a twin mattress to fit in it. And yet she said with a big smile, "How do you like my home?" Perspective shift.
Movie review...last night we watched Faith Like Potatoes. It is a incredible story of faith, kind of like Facing the Giants, but this is a true story. If you get the DVD, take the time (about an hour) to watch the special feature with the interview of the real Angus Buchan. This is my one warning about the film though...there is a scene where there is a child in a tractor accident. Totally caught me by surprise and I wish I had known to skip it--a little too close to home. I lost it. And couldn't sleep until early this morning. But the whole point of the movie is faith, and I want to strive to have faith like potatoes!

Well, I told the kids today that I didn't have an agenda, and we could play. I guess I better get off of here and keep my promise.

I have been reading them too and yes, it left me thinking about my day and all I just had to get done. It does give us that sense of humility and that lump in our throat that we need ever so often. Love you much...Lisa PS---Did you know I just found out I am having a GIRL!!!!!!!???? What do I do with a girl????

Dad & I are doing NOTHING today! pretty unusual for us... but we are enjoying it for a time. :-)
Praying for you and potty training! I know it is not fun for you... but WHAT A REWARD when it is done and a PAY RAISE TOO!!! It will be freeing for Nate too!
